Big Day Beauty Tips
SKIN PREPARATION
Be consistent with your daily skin care regime
Schedule weekly facials (last facial one week prior)
Exfoliate 1-2 times per week with a gentle exfoliant
Eat hydrating fruits (watermelon, cucumbers, strawberries)
Don't over indulge in Iodine containing foods
Drink half your body weight in daily water intake
Keep your makeup brushes clean
Change your pillowcases biweekly (preferably silk)
Wear sunscreen (at least SPF 30)
Beauty Vitamins
Take vitamins to make your hair longer & shinier as well as glowing skin
Biotin- helps reduce hair loss & encourages nail growth (35 micrograms) // Found in peanut butter & bananas
Iron- low iron can lead to dull, thin and dry hair. Take daily supplements // Found in spinach, oysters & cashews
Exfoliate
Start exfoliating your body 2-3 times a week (3 months prior). Find a gentle exfoliant that won’t strip your moisture (I like sugar scrubs)
Have big pores? Add biweekly microdermabrasion
Don’t forget to exfoliate/hydrate your lips for that BIG KISS
HAIR PREPARATION
Proper hair care routine can include the below
Shampoo-daily for oily hair or every 1-3 days for normal/dry hair. Be sure to only use shampoo on the scalp. Conditioner~should be kept off the scalp & focused midshaft to ends
Should I wash my hair the day before my wedding?
For best results hair should be washed the day before & kept free of styling
What Products?
If your hair feels greasy start with a dry shampoo, and use a mousse & heat protectant prior to blow drying to add more hold.
Want to try a new color, cut or style?
Do it at least 6 months prior so you have time to make proper adjustments
